Easy “Get Healthy” Tips for the New Year!

Are you trying to eat healthier, work out more and feel better about your well-being in 2017? If your New Years resolution was to get healthy in the new year, these fun and simple tips will help you to stick to your meal plan and even work out without ever leaving home!

  • Stay hydrated. One of the easiest (and most overlooked) ways to get healthier and lose weight is by drinking more water. Not only does staying hydrated promote weight loss, it also improves your skin tone, gives you a boost of energy and flushes out toxins to help you feel better all over.
  • Do an at-home workout. If you don't have time to make it to the gym or just don't like working out in front of other people, there are a number of great ways to exercise at home. Try doing a yoga session, heading outside for a total body strength training workout or even taking 5 minutes out of a busy day to work on your body.
  • Prep meals for the week ahead. If you're having a hard time making a salad or cooking some lean meats and veggies for every meal, try planning your meals for the entire week and prepping the essential ingredients. On a Sunday afternoon, assemble make-ahead meals like overnight oats for breakfast, salads in a jar for lunch and casserole-style meals that incorporate veggies in new ways.
